Debbie Seller
Financial Coordinator
Debbie has worked at our office for over sixteen years. Previous to this, she held positions as a Supervisor for Cigna Dental Benefits Claims Department and as a dental software computer trainer for a northeast regional computer dental software company. In addition, Debbie has held several managerial positions in other dental offices before working with Dr Katz. Debbie’s personal interests include cooking, baking, gardening, reading, bird watching and being a diehard Red Sox Fan.
Debbie’s main focus is to help our patients obtain the care and smile they desire and to take the stress out of the financial aspects. She works closely with insurance companies to ensure that patients utilize their benefits to their fullest potential. Debbie acts as a liaison between the doctor’s treatment plan and each patient account on an individual basis, utilizing interest free payment plans to help make the right treatment affordable for all patients. Her monthly responsibilities include tracking insurance submissions, and statement billing. If you have a financial question, please call for Debbie.
Judith Zuffelato, RDH
Hygenist
Judith Zuffelato, RDH is a graduate of the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, University of Bridgeport. Judy has practiced dental hygiene for over 35 years, and has been with us for over 20 years in two offices. During those 35 years, Judy has also assumed the duties of a GP dental assistant, oral surgery assistant and orthodontic assistant. Judy has been a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, and the Connecticut Dental Hygiene Association. She attends numerous continuing education courses annually, is certified in CPR, and is active in several local hygiene societies. Judy still looks forward to treating and caring for patients with compassion.
When not performing professional services, Judy can be found in any of several community service organizations and is a fixture in the church food booth at the Berlin Fair. She resides in Berlin with her husband and has three children.
Emilia Kolc, RDH
Hygenist
After graduating with a Masters’ Degree from University of Bialystok in Poland, Emilia moved to the United States and started her career in the dental field. She found her passion for dental hygiene while working as a dental assistant. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Science from Tunxis Community College in 2013.
With her experience, Emilia will make every patient comfortable. She enjoys taking continuing education courses to stay up to date with the newest technology available in dentistry. She maintains her professional membership with American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Connecticut Dental Hygienists’ Association, and Hartford Dental Hygienists’ Association. She puts her heart in everything she does and always strives for perfection while providing hygiene services to her patients.
Emilia is trained in oral cancer screening, and is certified in CPR, and local anesthesia. She also obtained Radiation Health and Safety Certificate and Infection Control Certificate. Emilia is a hard working member of our team who treats patients based on their individual needs. She believes that oral health is important because it is strongly associated with systemic health. Since she is fluent in Polish, she can accurately explain a recommended treatment to the Polish speaking patients.
Agnieszka Pyc, RDH
Hygenist
Agnieszka Pyc, RDH graduated from Tunxis Community College with an Associate’s degree in Science in 2012. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist, and is certified to administer Local Anesthesia, and CPR. Agnieszka is responsible for clinical patient contact and treatment.
She loves working with patients and is very gentle. Agnieszka is very enthusiastic about her chosen career, and her priority is making patients comfortable. She speaks fluent Polish and can be an accurate translator for a Polish patient.
Agnieszka also holds the position of General Manager at her husband’s manufacturing business. She has two little ones and recently celebrated the birth off her third child. She likes to spend her free time with her family.
Izabela Czyzycki, CDA
Izabela is a warm and caring woman who is Dr Katz’s right hand. Izabela received her dental assistant certification from Tunxis Community College.
She is certified in radiation, CPR, expanded chairside care and sterilization. She had has advanced training in soft tissue laser usage safety. Izabela is fluent in Polish and Russian.
Izabella is happily married and the proud mom of two children, one to soon be a future pilot Her friendly demeanor chair side puts patients at ease. She works closely chairside helping doctor give you the best of gentle care.
Magdalena Chowaniec, RDH
Magdalena obtained her training at the Dental School in Poznań, Poland. After coming to the US with her family, she earned a Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Tunxis Community College in 2010. She stays current in treatment modalities through constant dental education seminars. She has worked various private practice settings and has volunteered with Connecticut Dental Mission of Mercy since 2008. Her unbridled professional enthusiasm, education and gentle touch combine to deliver superior individualized preventative care. She is bilingual in English/Polish.
In her spare time, Magdalena enjoys hiking, dancing, bicycling, oil painting, and whale watching. She is a certified organic gardener and has traveled extensively on five continents. But her favorite way to spend time is with her family and beloved grandchildren.
