The process of getting Veneers

The dentist will use a special dental cement that bonds the veneer to the tooth. Both the procedures, preparing the tooth and placing the veneer are done under local anesthesia so it is completely pain-free.
Composite Resin Vs. Porcelain
Composite resin veneers are made of the same material dental fillings and binding are made of. It is a soft and malleable material that can be easily molded into required shape. The dentist can fabricate them at their clinic. This means, in only one sitting, you can get the veneers. Moreover, it requires minimal removal of the tooth structure and only etching of the surface is required.
Porcelain veneers, as the name suggests are made of porcelain, which also bonds well to the tooth surface. They resemble the natural teeth a lot better. For this reason, they look more aesthetic and are preferred over the resin type. They are also more durable compared to resin and they resist staining better. However, the procedure takes up to 2-3 sittings and you may have to use a temporary tooth cover until the permanent set is ready.
